O Play de fevereiro pode não estar sendo o mais popular do mundo, mas eu entendo. Claro, todo texto que a gente escreve é com a intenção de pegar um bazilhão de views em 20 minutos... Mas nem sempre é assim. O principal objetivo que eu tinha em mente com o retorno do Play, entretanto, estamos mais do que cumprindo: mostrar pra você algumas músicas do metal finlandês bem aleatórias, porém muito boas. Hoje eu tenho outra: Hear My Call do Ari Koivunen.
A Finlândia é o lugar onde o metal, idolatrado por tantos brasileiros, é música do dia-a-dia como aqui é o sertanejo. Parece uma coisa incrível de se imaginar, mas é real. Então não é susto, por exemplo, ver os cabeludos ensebados na TV, em situações que aqui no Brasil seria bem pouco provável. Tipo Ídolos. É, o programa tipo The Voice, X Factor e etc.
Porque foi exatamente assim que Ari nasceu pro mundo. Em 2007 ele participou do Ídolos finlandês e cantou apenas Still Loving You do Scorpions e The Evil That Men Do, do Iron Maiden. Não é surpresa que ele venceu a edição do programa, claro.
E como acontece nesses programas, quem vence sempre grava alguma coisa. No caso do Ari essa coisa foi o álbum Fuel For the Fire, lançado em 2007. É um álbum padrão de power metal, nada do outro mundo - mas eu gosto dele. Foi divertido viver a época do lançamento, porque coincidiu com os meus primeiros anos de metalhead. São memórias simples, mas pelas quais eu tenho um grande carinho.
Já o nosso Play... Ele é bem feito, gostosinho de ouvir e cantar junto. A música é simples, letra sem muita papagaiada, mas eu gosto. É bem anos 2000, eu diria. Cuidado (ou não) com o refrão, entretanto, pois ele gruda na sua cabeça e - a música toda no geral é assim, na verdade. O Ari canta bem. eu gosto. Pena que ele deu sequência com a banda solo, e depois de um tempo sumiu na vida.
Curiosidade: eu até encontrei redes sociais dele, mas não são atualizadas tem um bom tempo. E olhando o que já havia saído, deu pra ver que ele ficou fisicamente acabado, a vida não foi muito justa. Mas pelo menos rendeu um álbum legal, um momento curioso com o Ídolos, e mais um Play com música boa e uma história aleatória.
