É isso. Tá faltando pouco pra novembro terminar. Mas ainda dá tempo da gente bater cabelo com mais Madonna. Chegou agora? Não tem problema, eu explico: esse mês o álbum Confessions on a Dance Floor completou 16 anos de lançamento. Não parecia que já tinha tanto tempo... A idade bateu aqui. 

Dos álbuns da era "Madonna moderna", esse é o que eu mais gosto. Tem uma energia gostosa, boas letras, e o visual da era Confessions é um dos meus favoritos. Recomendo ler os Plays das outras semanas, pois tem histórias legais, e comentários que você só encontra aqui. Hoje tem mais, ao som de Get Together.

A música da conspiração

Get Together segue a receita do álbum: tem uma forte influência do disco, electropop, trance, techno e dance. Curiosidade! A música incorpora elementos de Music Sounds Better with You do Stardust, e samples de Fate, da cantora Chaka Khan. Já a letra é bem dentro do humor do Confessions, falando sobre a chance de encontrar o amor na pista de dança. 

(Num momento mais meta, Get Together também faz referência às músicas Holiday (1983) e Secret (1994) da Madonna)

Nos EUA a música não entrou na Billboard Hot 100, mas alcançou o sexto lugar na Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles. A baixa performance de Get Together foi atribuída a ter sido pouco tocada nas rádios, o que fez os fãs criarem teorias do porque isso aconteceu. Isso gerou até uma petição online dirigida ao CEO da Clear Channel Communications, Mark P. Mays, pedindo "o fim do boicote à Madonna nas rádios norte-americanas". 

E o nosso Play?

Como é bem comum na era Confessions, eu gosto de música em grande parte por causa do clipe. Ele foi gravado durante performance da Madonna no Koko Club em Londres, Inglaterra, em 15 de novembro de 2005 durante a turnê de promoção do álbum. Com direção de Kevin Logan, as animações e os designs foram feitos pelo artista Nathaniel Howe, inspirado no trabalho do artista italiano de quadrinhos Milo Manara e na ficção científica retrô. 

O Paste Magazine define a música de um jeito que eu gosto bastante: com "uma onda irresistível de sintetizadores filtrados e batidas house intensas". É bem interessante que ela possui esse jeito mais "calmo", mas ainda assim com uma batida marcante, que faz uma boa ponte entre a energia de Hung Up e Sorry. Comprova que a ideia de montar a tracklist do álbum como um set de DJ foi muito boa, e deu bastante certo.
