No último domingo (3) aconteceu o Video Music Awards (VMA), mas de um jeito diferente. Devido a pandemia de Covid-19, foi cancelado o evento que seria realizado no Barclays Center em Nova York, EUA. Em seu lugar, uma série de performances foi organizada em diferentes pontos da cidade. E tivemos ótimas performances, desde The Weeknd desafiando a gravidade, e Lady Gaga fazendo coisas de Lady Gaga.
Os dois artistas também saíram da noite vitoriosos. "Blinding Lights" deu ao The Weeknd a vitória nas categorias de Clipe do Ano e Melhor Clipe de R&B. Já Lady Gaga levou os prêmios de Música do Ano, Melhor Colaboração e Melhor Fotografia com "Rain On Me", parceria com Ariana Grande. Além disso, Gaga foi premiada com o primeiro MTV Tricon Award, pela contribuição à cultura pop, sucesso na música, moda, e o seu importante ativismo.
Com as mudanças causas pela pandemia, o VMA 2020 também ganhou duas categorias: Melhor Performance da Quarentena e Melhor Clipe Caseiro. Confira a seguir, a lista de vencedores da noite:
